Nick Brokaw joins Sacramento Advocates after working as a corporate litigator at the Los Angeles office of an international law firm.
Nick provides firm clients with political, legal and strategic services, drawing from a range of experience and expertise in politics, public policy and the sports industry.
Nick's public policy work dates back to his time covering the halls of the Capitol as a student-reporter for Capitol Weekly. After graduating from college and working on two political campaigns, Nick served as a consultant for a Santa Barbara-area Tribal Nation, representing them on a range of local political, public policy and grassroots issues.

Nick worked on the arena efforts, while additionally assisting front office executives on corporate sponsorships, suite licensing agreements, and NBA salary cap issues.
Most recently, Nick worked as an attorney in private practice in Los Angeles. With a practice in complex commercial litigation, Nick provided counsel to a range of companies, from start-ups to hedge funds and Fortune 100 corporations, in white-collar government investigations, multi-jurisdictional class action defense work, and sports-related intellectual property matters.
Nick holds undergraduate degrees in Political Science and Sports Management from UC Santa Barbara, where he graduated summa cum laude. He holds a law degree from UC Berkeley School of Law (Boalt Hall) where he served as the editor-in-chief of one of Boalt Hall's law reviews and co-founded a national sports law conference.
